The Community Service Center is happy to welcome two new team members, Anya Dobrowolski and Nick Meltzer, to the CSC family.
Anya Dobrowolski specializes in parks and recreation planning, site design, and meeting facilitation. In her tenure with the CSC, Anya has worked on four park system master plans, five parks and recreation site designs, and two natural hazard mitigation plans among other projects. As a project manager, she most enjoys creating strong and open client relationships and facilitating communication with the public about the projects we work on in their communities. Anya’s education and professional experience in the field of landscape architecture give her a unique perspective on the confluence of people and place, which she integrates into her project work.
An avid backpacker and bicycle tourist, Anya enjoys spending her weekends and vacations exploring Oregon’s wilderness and rural areas. If you really want to get her going, ask Anya about her yarn stash.
As a licensed civil engineer with a Masters in Community and Regional Planning, Nick Meltzer brings a unique background to the Community Service Center. His ability to combine technical analysis with public engagement has been beneficial on projects involving transportation, recreational economics, and natural hazard mitigation. Having worked as a wilderness educator for the last ten years, he especially enjoys the opportunity to mentor students and facilitate meetings, while exploring communities across Oregon.
When he isn’t working, Nick enjoys human powered pursuits, and is constantly in search of the perfect day, which includes breakfast, mountain biking, and a local microbrew at the end. Hailing from New England, his favorite topics of conversation include maple syrup, the weather, and how bad the frost heaves are this year.
